Maura McCauley, M.D., R.D.

I am a Board Certified Family Physician currently practicing conventional and integrative medicine to treat a wide range of conditions.  I am a diplomate of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine (ABIHM).

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University and finished my coursework to become a Registered Dietitian (RD) at the University of Connecticut. I received my medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and

completed residency training at the Family Medicine residency at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, NY.  Since then I have pursued study in Functional Medicine and am currently a fellow in Andrew Weill's Integrative Medicine program at the University of Arizona.

I have chosen to focus on integrative medicine in this practice so I can spend the time with

patients that is needed to get to the root of their health concerns.  Prevention of problems

is as important to me as treatment of existing problems.  I draw on the best of both

conventional and complementary modalities to support the body's natural healing potential.

Nutrition, exercise and lifestyle change are among the most powerful tools we have to attain and

maintain good health.

Some of the issues that I have particular interest in are:

Cardiovascular health, including high blood pressure and cholesterol

Preventive health care

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Fibromyalgia

Auto-immune disease

Heart Disease

Attaining and maintaining healthy weight

Headaches, including migraines

Digestive disorders

Mood Issues

I am not practicing Primary Care Medicine at the Integrative Medicine Center at this time; routine health maintenance should be followed by the patient’s Primary Care Provider.  I am practicing at  IMC with Paula Fitzsimmons, PA, under Chiron Wellness.  We are not accepting insurance but will provide a super bill for patients to submit to their insurance, flex plans, or Health Savings Accounts.  Payment will be due at time of service.  Please discuss fees with Marisa when you call the office.

If you would like to make an appointment, please fill out the intake form below so we can insure that the match is right for you and us. Once you submit this, Marisa will call you and provide a health history form.  Bringing recent labs to your appointment is very helpful but do not have all records transferred here.

Currently I continue to practice providing Primary Care at Trumansburg Family Health.  This new practice is a consultative practice specific to the issues described above.
